Mahindra & Mahindra is getting ready to shake up the Indian SUV market with a fresh lineup of cars. By 2026, the company will launch a range of new models, including facelifts, next-generation versions, and even electric and hybrid SUVs. In this article, we take a closer look at what exciting features and updates these upcoming Mahindra SUVs will offer.
Mahindra is gearing up to broaden its electric SUV portfolio with a three-row model derived from the XUV 9e. The "Mahindra XEV 7e", the next electric vehicle, is anticipated to make its premiere by November or December 2025. It will share its platform, powertrain, design elements, and features with the XEV 9e. This means that the XEV 7e will come with 59 kWh and 79 kWh LFP battery options, which provide a range of 542 km and 656 km. However, the driving range of the 7-seater electric car could be slightly different.
Mahindra & Mahindra is developing hybrid and flex-fuel engines for its upcoming SUVs. The company’s 1st hybrid SUV will be the Mahindra XUV 3XO, which is coming in 2026. It could come with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine paired with hybrid technology. Although most changes in design, cabin, and features are not expected, the hybrid version may get a ‘Hybrid’ badge on the exterior along with some interior updates.
The next-generation Bolero is expected to be launched in 2026. This SUV is expected to retain the current diesel engine but come with major changes in design and features. According to spy photos, the 2026 Mahindra Bolero will keep its recognisable tall and boxy styling. One major upgrade will be the addition of a panoramic sunroof. This SUV may also be equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster, Level 2 ADAS, and several premium features.
